George R.R. Martin Interview: Ned Stark VS Boromir

''O Ned Stark θα έχανε την μάχη εάν βρισκόταν αντιμέτωπος με τον Boromir. Ο Boromir είναι καλύτερος πολεμιστής από τον Ned. O Ned ήταν περισσότερο ''Λόρδος'', ''Χέρι του Βασιλιά'', ''Διπλωμάτης'' και ''Κυβερνήτης'' είπε ο George RR Martin, o δημιουργός της επικής σειράς Game Of Thrones, στο MTV Geek. 

"I think Boromir is probably more of a warrior than Ned was. Ned was more of a lord, a ruler, a diplomat, a general. In simple physical one-on-one combat, Boromir probably would win."

Sean Bean Interview: My Top 5 Death Scenes

Black Death (2010)

"I don't think anyone was quite sure how we were going to do it up until the day. We had all these ideas about using horses and ropes, but it's not till you actually get on set that you think, 'Okay, how am I going to die?' They wanted to tie me to these two horses, but I would only let them tie me to one. It was difficult because you're working with animals and, from the crew's point of view, filming somebody getting split down the middle, or quartered as it were, is very difficult. They were very safety-conscious, of course, but I just didn't like the idea of being tied to two of the bloody things because there's a chance it could actually happen!"
 

The Lord of the Rings: The Fellowship of the Ring (2001) 

"This one took quite a while, but it was a big production so we had a lot of time to get it right. It happens at the end of the film, so they wanted to make a big splash – whoever was going to die was going to do so in spectacular fashion. Peter [Jackson] spent quite a bit of time on that particular death, choreographing every detail and planning how he was going to film parts of it in slow motion and what music he was going to use. "There's a big fight which wears Boromir down and, little by little, these ugly beasts get the better of him. That moment when I'm down on my knees and I'm looking up at Lurtz is incredibly powerful. It's a very heroic death. I had this harness on with these arrows fixed into it which was quite heavy, but that was the only way to make it look as if these arrows are really stuck in you. If you look at that scene, there's never a point where you see an arrow being fired directly into me. It's done in a very clever way where the camera cuts to me at the moment of impact and I react as if I've been hit. It's the reactions that make it." 

Patriot Games (1992) 

"I died about three times in this one, I think! I get in a big fight with Harrison Ford and eventually he manages to get me down and impales me on an anchor. Pretty nasty way to go. The producers were happy with it because in America audiences are only satisfied when they know for sure you're dead – and you know I'm dead at that moment! Filming that scene was difficult because it was very dark and slippery on the set. We shot it on a boat in a studio with all these loud thunder-and-lightning effects and rain coming down on us. It was a long fight and it took quite a few days to get it right. It was pretty rough because Harrison's quite handy, he gets stuck in! It was rocky, but we pulled it off."

  

The Field (1990) 

 "Poor Tadgh McCabe. It's such a sad scene, but also quite pathetic because he just can't get away. It's almost the way you expect him to go because he's such a passive individual; he's been dominated by his father since he was young and can't really think for himself. It's quite tragic really. I remember running away from all these cattle and getting closer and closer to the edge of the cliff. It's real cattle coming at me and it was quite nerve-wracking in that respect. And then I'm dead in the water floating along with these dead sheep. "We shot in it winter on the west coast of Ireland and we had to reshoot it quite a few times. They were real sheep and some of them had been dead for two weeks. They'd keep putting fresh ones in but there'd still be sheep floating past that had been dead for weeks. You can't react or do anything because you're meant to be dead, but you've got these fucking stinking dead animals drifting by right under your nose. Every time I got in the water, I had to hold my breath. I had a good shower after that." 

  

Equilibrium (2002) 

"I'm reading the poetry of WB Yeats in this abandoned church when I get executed. There's something very poignant and heroic about this death. I've still got the book at home with the bullet hole in it. It's an interesting one because I know I'm about to get it and I remember having to get into the mindset of accepting my fate. It's funny... you never really get used to dying. There's no set formula for it and no two death scenes are the same. You've just got to do what feels right in the moment and make it as convincing as possible. It's an important moment, you've got to really think about it. I'm not an expert on death scenes though. Or maybe I am."

Sean Bean: ''O NED ΕΚΑΝΕ ΤΟΝ ΚΥΚΛΟ ΤΟΥ ΚΑΙ ΑΥΤΟ ΗΤΑΝ''

Από την συγκεκριμένη συνέντευξη καταλάβαμε ότι μάλλον δεν θα επιστρέψει στην σειρά. Αν υπήρχε τέτοιο ενδεχόμενο ίσως να το αποκάλυπτε έστω πλαγίως, αλλά δυστυχώς δεν έδωσε και πολλές ελπίδες στους θαυμαστές του. Τόνισε πως το Game Of Thrones ήταν επικό και συνεχίζει ακόμα να είναι. Το συγκρίνει με το Lord Of The Rings. 

Όταν ξεκίνησαν να γυρίζουν την σειρά δεν περίμεναν να έχει τόση επιτυχία, το ίδιο πίστευαν αρχικά και για τον Άρχοντα Των Δαχτυλιδιών. Ναι μεν είχαν διαβάσει τα βιβλία και ήξεραν πως ήταν τα πρώτα σε πωλήσεις παγκοσμίως και καλογραμμένα, αλλά παρέμεναν επιφυλακτικοί. Μόνο όταν άρχισαν να παίζονται οι ταινίες στον κινηματογράφο κατάλαβαν πως ο κόσμος θα εκτιμούσε την δουλειά τους. 

Έτσι έγινε και με το Game Of Thrones. Αγαπήθηκε τόσο πολύ από όλους, κάτι που χαροποιεί ιδιαίτερα τον Sean και τους συντελεστές. Δήλωσε ότι δεν είχε διαβάσει τα βιβλία του Μάρτιν πριν αναλάβει τον ρόλο του Νεντ Σταρκ. 

Μετά όμως άρχισε την ανάγνωσή τους για να μπει στο πνεύμα και για να καταλάβει το γενικότερο πλαίσιο στο οποίο βασιζόταν το σενάριο.''Είναι τόσα πολλά (τα βιβλία) και θα βγουν και άλλα'', αναφώνησε χαμογελώντας. ''Ο Μάρτιν γράφει κάθε μέρα ασταμάτητα...''

Εκείνο που του άρεσε περισσότερο στο Game Of Thrones ήταν η ανατροπή της πλοκής με τον αναπάντεχο θάνατο του Νέντ. ''Ο κόσμος δεν περίμενε να δει κάτι τέτοιο και αυτό είναι που μου αρέσει στο GOT. Έτσι ξαφνικά, ξεφορτώνονται τους βασικούς πρωταγωνιστές και μετά βάζουν κάποιους άλλους στην θέση τους...Τόσο απλά! ''. 

Αποκάλυψε ότι στα γυρίσματα της σειράς το κρύο ήταν τσουχτερό (WINTER IS COMING στην κυριολεξία!). Γι' αυτό δεν του λείπουν καθόλου εκείνες οι στιγμές και δεν θα ήθελε να τις θυμάται. Αυτό που του λείπει πραγματικά είναι η εξαίρετη συνεργασία που είχε με το υπόλοιπο cast. 

Έπειτα συνέχισε να μιλάει για τον Νεντ. Απέκλεισε κάθε ελπίδα επιστροφής στα παλιά λημέρια: ''Ο χαρακτήρας του Νέντ έκανε τον κύκλο του και αυτό ήταν. Είναι καλό να τελειώνεις μία δουλειά σύντομα και να είσαι περήφανος γι' αυτήν. Έπειτα μπορείς να συνεχίσεις τον δρόμο σου, ψάχνοντας νέα πράγματα και κάνοντας κάτι διαφορετικό. Έτσι δεν μένεις στάσιμος αλλά ούτε και προσκολλημένος σε έναν συγκεκριμένο ρόλο για πολλά χρόνια.''

Συνέντευξη του Sean Bean: ''Ο Daniel Craig Είναι Φανταστικός Ως James Bond''

O Sean Bean σε συνέντευξή του στο DigitalSpy μίλησε για τον ρόλο του ως Alec Trevelyan στο πλευρό του James Bond όπως επίσης και για την νέα τριλογία του Peter Jackson με τίτλο ''The Hobbit''. 

Συγκεκριμένα είπε πως η απουσία του από την πολυαναμενόμενη συνέχεια του ''Άρχοντα των Δαχτυλιδιών'' οφείλεται στο ότι τα βιβλία των ταινιών αναφέρονται σε γεγονότα που διαδραματίζονται χρόνια πριν παρουσιαστεί ο Φρόντο και όλοι οι υπόλοιποι χαρακτήρες στο προσκήνιο... Οπότε ο Μπορομίρ ίσως να μην είχε γεννηθεί τότε!...

Όταν η συζήτηση έφτασε στο Skyfall, την νέα ταινία του James Bond με πρωταγωνιστή τον παλαιότερο συνεργάτη του στο 'Sharpe', Daniel Craig, δήλωσε ότι θεωρεί ιδιαίτερα τιμητικό το πέρασμά του από το Goldeneye ως πράκτορας 006: ''Είχε ενδιαφέρον διότι ο Άλεκ αρχικά ήταν φίλος με τον Bond, στην συνέχεια σκηνοθέτησε τον θάνατό του και μπήκε αυτόματα στο εχθρικό στρατόπεδο''.

Θεωρεί ότι ο Craig  είναι φανταστικός ως Bond και αποκαλύπτει ότι υπήρξε υποστηρικτής του από τότε που πρωτοπήρε τον ρόλο. Πολλοί πίστευαν ότι δεν θα κατάφερνε να τον κρατήσει αρκετό καιρό ή ότι το πράγμα δεν θα πήγαινε τόσο καλά. Ο Sean Bean όμως σκεφτόταν διαφορετικά λέγοντας: ''Καλά, περιμένετε και θα δείτε!''...

O Sean Bean Μιλάει Για Το ''The Hobbit''

Lord Of The Rings χωρίς Boromir γίνεται; Δεν γίνεται! Αναφερόμαστε φυσικά στην νέα ταινία που θα κάνει πρεμιέρα στις 13 Δεκεμβρίου στην Ελλάδα με τίτλο: The Hobbit: An Unexpected Journey.

 

Εκεί θα έχουμε την ευκαιρία να δούμε παλιούς αγαπημένους και γνώριμους ήρωες από την επιτυχημένη τριλογία του Άρχοντα Των Δαχτυλιδιών.

Ο Sean Bean έδωσε πρόσφατα μία συνέντευξη για το Silent Hill και προς το τέλος έκανε μία αναφορά στο ''The Hobbit''. Παραδέχτηκε ότι τον έπιασε νοσταλγία μόλις είδε το τρέιλερ...

''It reminds me of being back there, wow, almost twelve years ago now. You wonder what it's like there now, what the studio's like. I see Orlando Bloom on occasions, and Viggo Mortensen, I see Dominic Monaghan now and again''.

Dominic Monaghan: Τράκαρα Το Αυτοκίνητο Του Sean Bean

Η μεγάλη εξομολόγηση του Dominic Monaghan! Αποκάλυψε ότι είχε τρακάρει το αυτοκίνητο του Sean Bean κατα την διάρκεια των γυρισμάτων του Lord Of The Rings...

"When we were making Lord of the Rings we were put on wet weather cover, which is where we're brought into work only if it rains, however, it stayed hot and sunny so Billy and I didn't work once. Instead we spent the whole time making a ludicrous home video, getting drunk, chasing girls around New Zealand's South Island and we also crashed Sean Bean's car."

Συνέντευξη του Sean Bean στον Jonathan Ross

Η πιο πρόσφατη συνέντευξη του Sean Bean στον Τζόναθαν Ρός. Μίλησε για το ''Accused'', το ''Cleanskin'' (Το DVD έχει ήδη κυκλοφορήσει), για τον ρόλο του ως Boromir στο Lord Of The Rings. Και φυσικά ανέφερε το Sharpe και κάποια μυστικά από τα γυρίσματα της σειράς. 

Ο Ρός τον ρώτησε τι θυμάται από την εποχή που γύριζε τον Άρχοντα των Δαχτυλιδιών: “It was a long time ago, if you think about it. It was about eleven years ago now. When I first got the part, I didn’t realize how it was going to escalate into such a big epic number.”  Επίσης αποκάλυψε ότι τότε φοβόταν πάρα πολύ τα ύψη:  “I don’t like flying. I’m okay now that I’ve gotten used to it, but at that time, I was a little bit scared''. 

''That scene that you just saw, that was up on a mountain on some glaciers. And we had to go up in the helicopter with a glass bottom, and that was really scary for me. Whenever I could use any other means to get to the location, I would do. I used to get on my costume and the hair and everything, and then I would walk about a half an hour up quite a steep hill. And there was this ski lift, and so I’d sit on that and they’d wire me up. Dressed as Boromir! And they’d drop me off there and I’d hike another half a mile just because I didn’t want to get on the helicopter.”
