It's been a quiet few months since the flurry of
spring news, so I thought I'd write a bit of an update for ongoing &
upcoming things.
The most immediate is the imminent premiere of Percy
Jackson: Sea of Monsters, the sequel to The
Lightning Thief. In it, Sean reprises his role as Zeus. He still has
billing credit so hopefully he didn't end up on the cutting room
floor! I have not seen him in the featurette. I've scoured
every trailer & advert released looking for a glimpse of him, so
far, nothing yet. If invited I expect Sean will go to at
least 1 of the world premieres.
Over the past 2 months Sean has been busy working on
Jupiter Ascending, the major science fiction film by the Wachowskis
that is slated for release in July 2014. He is still listed as
playing Stinger, a "Han Solo" type of character. Again,
I've kept a sharp eye on many sources present at the filming
locations, but have not seen any snaps or official shots of him as
yet. They are filming at present in Chicago. I was joking with some
other fans recently, after seeing a few of Channing Tatum's shots,
that Sean's costume & makeup also must be a really great
disguise!
At San Diego Comic Con last weekend, HBO TV show Game
of Thrones showed an "In Memoriam" reel before their panel,
which was a tribute to all the characters that have been killed off
the show so far. Got a bit choked up when they reached Eddard "Ned"
Stark, who Sean played so brilliantly in series 1. The North

Lastly, for now, cancer is a horrible disease that I
hate. It's taken far too many people that we love, including those in
our own families. Please support however you are able your local cancer charity &
research hospitals so that it may be eradicated.
